What is the OCM?


The Colombian Observatory of Women and Equity (OCME) is a tool to collect, analyze and disseminate information related to the situation of women living in Colombian territories.
The OCME is regulated by Law 1009 of 2006, which created the Observatory on a permanent basis, and endorsed the responsibility to the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic, through the Presidential Counseling for Women's Equity.

What is it for?
It provides technical inputs that favor the empowerment of women and decision-making based on evidence, makes visible and analyzes the problems felt by women in the diversity of Colombian territories and allows comparing the specific effects of various economic and political, cultural phenomena. and of the violence between women and men in different stages of their life cycles.
